Welcome

Welcome to everyone who found the site. Whether you believe its random or you believe its not. Here is some evidence on the site. Based on e-mail from readers I have gotten I will attempt to make this a better all around poker site. Sure beats will still be discussed but maybe we can get some blog reader tourneys going or have blog readers invite others and share there own tourney wins and losses via blogs. Just send me an e-mail I will attempt to create a network of poker blogs.

dude y in the world do u keep playing online when u know its rigged? im not trying to be a dick but i mean whats the point of this blog? just to keep track of all ur bad beats? im not saying i disagree trust me ive known online poker was rigged for awhile now. i call it the "Behind Hand Boost". The program gives the losing hand before the flop, turn and river a percentage boost so that garbage (inexperienced) players win more often than they would naturaly. this keeps them playing and paying.

but y do u keep playing online if u know this? i prob lost about 10k in 4-5 years playing online before i realised it was rigged. starting playing full time a year ago in February and made 10k profit in just tht one yr playing just 2-3 times a week.

You haven't proved anything other than your not as good a player as you think. There is no such thing as a "hand i should have won"

Bad players get lucky sometimes. Online poker has a lot of bad players. Bad beats happen. They happen all the time.

You should go ahead and punch yourself in the face. EVERY single example on this page is absurd. You are all horrible poker players and I would love to invite you all to my "rigged" home game.

I presume you realise you would have been beaten if the flop was KKA, QQA,1010A, 99A,88A.....need I go on?
You were beaten on so many combinations, the facts Jacks flopped made no difference

I agree this AJ vs. AA scenario is unlikely, but I actually remember seeing this exact hand on TV during the WSOP. Sammy Farha had A-10 and his opponent had 10-10, and the flop was A-A-10. It was a particulary famous hand because, in addition to being rare, it was also one of the first hands dealt in that year's WSOP...the poor guy got to play in the WSOP for literally three minutes before he was eliminated.

i noticed that everytime you get a bad beat on this site, its shows your money is ALL IN. doesn't it occur to you by now that the player with the most chips wins, so that way the tournament could move faster!

This exact hand has happened to me in a casino playing poker...You play a lot more hands online so these hands seem to turn up more but in fact they are just a random hand...Sometimes you run into a bad beat, that's poker...

I was playing live in the bellagio last month with KK vs AA. The flop came AKK, the Aces went all in and I called. Basically the same hand as you lost to.

It happens in the real world too.

Dude, even if something does have odds of only happening once in every 50 million occurences, the one thing you can bet your money on is it will happen!

In an infinite or even vast universe such as ours, any event with a chance higher than 0, no matter how small, is guaranteed to happen to someone, somewhere at some point; more than once. Guaranteed. It would be wrong and outrageous if this stuff DIDN'T happen, such is the nature of probability theory in a game such as poker in a universe such as ours.

Your hand is far from a 50million to 1 shot btw, and has occured numerous times to anyone who has played a load of hands live or online. :-)

Alex, you seem like a level headed guy and thanks for reading...if you havent realized my posts are slightly exagerated.

However, it is how I feel. Literally I can go from someone hitting a 2 outer, and three hands letter someone hits a 1 outer on me, yet I cant even hit a top pair favored flush draw in which I am more than 50%. So you have to realize, do I think its rigged? I dont know to be honest. I know I dont have these things happen in live games. That is what I know.

Though it may feel like the cards aren't random, they still are. Your expectations are just too great. Anytime a hand goes to the River your great hand can be beaten.

In your example of AA vs 9Q you are an 82% chance to win, and you'll lose 18% of the time. That's in the long run over an infinite number of times you have this hand. Statistics don't say what the sequence will be.

If you played this hand 65 million times you'd lose 12 million times. You might lose a 1000 times in a row or more, but it's still random.

Another test you could try is to go over to the play money side (all US players have access to now) and you'll find the same thing happening, probably even more so, because play money players don't care if they lose and will take many more poor hands to the River.

plus, think about this, your life is too small a sample for the infinity of the numbers to even themselves out, so you could easily be an "unlucky" person who doesn't live long enough to see the good luck even out the bad in the way the statistics say it should.

I'm not suggesting you are such a person, i'm just saying, very few people will die having won precisely 50% of their 50% shots, most will die having won 48.5%, or 53%, or 49% etc. etc. and some people will actually miss out on some of the odds the statistics state they are entitled to.
